For their new packaging “Home of Leica Cameras” the brand uses Gmund Bauhaus Dessau paper, which features a fine dotted embossing structure and a natural protective coating. The band for the packaging also uses the Gmund Used collection with a natural matte finish. The classic, high-quality processing and design of the Gmund material are simple and modern, reflecting the elegant language of the company’s products. The packaging captivates with its tactile experience and the visually elaborate folding box. With its complex design, the box serves as a new home for all types of cameras. The jury was impressed by the complexity of the different embossing techniques, material processing, and printing. The magazine’s “strong” concept particularly resonated, as its design engages the viewer through surprising elements and perfectly reflects the motto “Starkmacher.” The successful combination of special effects and a clear message highlights the magazine. Every year, Gmund Papier creates impressive and individual colors in natural fibers at the request of our customers. If our customers do not find the right option among our 50 colors from the Gmund Creative System, we produce a custom color starting from 3000 kg orders. Our experts have observed projects throughout the year, and the color from LOTTE Department Store in Korea particularly captivated the jury. The envelope and cards for the “AVENUEL membership card & envelope” feature an intense, deep, and modern purple. Combined with a tone-on-tone hot foil printing technique, the details and creativity of the print project convinced the jury to award the additional prize Gmund Color of the Year 2024.
